| Hi fellow CCNAers; Im in the test prep phase prior to taking the CCNA 640-607 exam later this month or early next. In your opinion, what is the best CCNA test prep practice exam to be found on the internet at a reasonable price? Ive heard of transcender, exam essentials and boson in previous comments. What do you think? Id like to know which one will prepare me the best for the exam. I already have the CCNA 607 RouterSim to prepare me for the router sims on the cert exam. Thanks a lot for your vital input. ----Terry | |

| I recently failed my ccna with 847!!! That really blew! I used cert21 online test...only 29.95 I think. I think that is the best one going. Next best is Boson I would say.
Hope this helps...good luck!

| How about Cisco CCNA Exam 640-607 Flash Card Practice Kit or CCNA Practical Studies. I think they're from cisco press. Whenever I have searched books with the key 640-607 I get these two and also wendell Odom book. I've already finished Todd Lammle book so I don't need a tutorial book. Just tests ....
thinking of getting that flash card practice kit. Does it worth it? any idea

I picked up the Flash Card Kit. The book is nice, but the practice test does have errors.
For example: On a multiple-choice, multiple-answer question, you can only pick 'one' answer, so you always get it wrong. Also, I have gotten questions with answers with radio buttons with no text next to them. And, once in a while I'll get a question that ask to pick one answer, and when I review it, it shows two checked as right, and I get it marked wrong. (I hope all that made sense)
It's usually 1 to 4 questions out of 70 that it happens on.
But, it does do the hands-on config questions nicely.

| thanks for the review but one thing needs to be clarified. I thought it was a paper back book. Is it only a cd or is cd included with the book? How many questions in total? Those errors sound irritating. I bought Todd Lammle's virtual e-lab and it didn't come up to my expectations. Even some of the commands in the study guide isn't supported so I don't want to make the same mistakes.
Not sure about the flash card kit now...

| It's a book and a CD. It's a ringbound book.
Yes, the errors are annoying, but, there are only a few here and there. The tests get randomized, so sometimes you get a couple...other times you get no problems at all. I think it's around 500 questions total.
But, the book itself is nice. Questions and answers with explanations. I've seen it for like $34.95 at Barnes & Nobles...may be less elsewhere. I picked it up because most of the other books they had were for 507.
Good luck,

| Well everyone, thanks for all your comments and thanks for making my topic the second most viewed one in the forum with 425 views. What an amazing accomplishment, huh? Ok, Im bored. Anyhow, Ive decided to use the Boson practice exams. Ive downloaded the demo and like it very well. I tried the transcender demo too and didnt particularly care for it. I had some problems with one of the question's simulation in that it didnt work at all as intended.
Boson's practice exam is hassle-free, straightforward, has good explanations with the answers, and is reasonably priced. I wanted a practice exam that I could download to my desktop, not internet based, so that ruled out cert21 this time (sorry Cert21, Ive used you in the past). Also, I have routersim's CCNA 607 simulator, which is very good. Ok now, thanks again and feel free to continue posting under this topic....whatever it may be. -----Terry

| Actually this isnt the second most viewed topic I just noticed, its just the second one listed from the top. Oh well, at least its not the last one. Good night. ---- Terry | |

| I liked Exam Essentials (had a few from that on my test),Cert21, and BeachFront Quizzer
which I thought was the hardest.(also had a few from that on my test).
