Getting ready to take the CCNA soon and not quite fully confident in my ability to at least pass the test. I know most people say if you don't think you're ready, then don't take it yet. I have taken semsters 1-4 of the CCNA course at a Tech school and have done very well as far as grades are concerned. I also score high on Cisco's quizes and exams that are provided and required by the curriculum. However, everytime I take a practice exam online, the results show that I need major improvement (considering the fact you can miss no more than 7 answers on the 607). This is very nerve wracking! I have also heard a lot of people give good reviews about the Todd Lammle book with lab simulator, so I bought it (waiting on UPS to deliver). I figured it's better to spend $100 and have a book to show for it than spend $125 and fail the test with nothing to show for. My problem is that everytime I take a practice exam, I see things that were not presented in the curriculum (plus a lot of use it or lose it type stuff). Has anyone had this problem? I believe that the mind never forgets, just needs improvement in memory recall, and a lot of the questions I encounter I never saw in the semester 1-4 course. What is the difference btwn reading Lammle's book and re-reading the whole semester over again?

Another question to those who've passed is how do you possibly remeber the gazillion different protocols and thousands of different standards???? Then you have to remember a few hundred router commands. I plan to do like so many have said which is to read Lammle's book from cover to cover until I feel like I can pass the 607. I understand that Cisco only wants the best of the best to hold their certifications which is why the salaries are so high for those that do. I honestly feel like I have put forth 200% to get started in the networking industry but still have so many gray areas on the subject. I also believe that the school I attended was a joke and the instructors rarely if at all involved themselves along the way. What more can I do to prepare for the test?? I do not want to take it more than once because a lot is riding on this. What methods did you all use to better understand some of the more complicated aspects of Cisco? ANY advice at this point is greatly appreciated and congratulatins to those who have passed, I know it wasn't easy!
