How do you configure a router for poison reverse, split horizon etc etc . Whats the default and is this CCNP subject matter?

Cheers

I second that question. in reading Lammles book he just says this stuff is there kinda just to make you aware of it. but never says in what protocols these reside or if they need to be enabled in Distance vector protocols by some command.

Distance vectoring protocols use the stuff you mention, link states' don't. In most cases split horizon is default on although stuff like frame-relay can be an exception. I think for CCNP you can pretty much assume default on.
