hello Guys.
I need some help with a cisco swicth.

i'm testing a new security suite that need a "point" in the network that "see" all trafic.

when i use a hub, i can see everyone because a hub forward the trafic to all ports.

but switch only forward packets to the specific and determined port. i need to know if is possible to configure a admin port mirror port, etc so i can see in one port all the trafic in the switch!!!

please help!!!!

It's call a SPAN port. Switch Port ANalyzer or something. The command to set it up differs depending on the model of switch you're using or what you want to mirror.

As MadChef said, you need SPAN but

be careful with SPAN.

Yep. Although, TECHNICALLY, I believe SPAN stands for switchED port analyzer.

;-)

Just picking on you MC because of your recent accomplishment.
