| Finally getting some real hands on experince with routers. All my stuff finally came into so I can log into my 2524 router. I must say its alot cooler then any simulator or some remote lab(like r1r2.com) For some reason I was kinda nervous about it at first even though I been screwing around with real routers at r1r2.com and using routersim 3.2 Cant wait for the rest of my routers to come in.(just ordered two more today) that way I can play around with the routing protocols and stuffs. | |

| without breaking the cisco confidetiality agreement about the exam.
learn how to log on to them via, Telnet, AUX (modem) and console (well obviously console) right down to making your own cables, like you know the back of your hand.
And for the hell of it, try networking two of them together through the Aux ports. | |

| Ok thanks. I got the whole telnet thing down. I will take a second look about making the cables and also see what I can do with the AUX port. Thanks for the advice. | |

| OMG...
Do we really need to know (memorise--you cant really understand this) the colour of the wiring etc for the CCNA exam???
I have made 2-3 of them but that was ages ago.. with help of the instruction provided in the CCNA lab sheet.
Cheers. | |
