2503 hardware question for the techies :)

| Hello guys!
I just got a really nice deal on a used Cisco 2503 (US$85) from a friends aquaintance and I was wondering if something may be wrong with it.
The router boots and as far as I know its working (as I can see all the boot messages and the console prompt) but as I'm a total newbie (I'm just beginning to build my study lab) I was wondering if someone can recomend me a software tool that can diagnose the router to check wether it functions properly.

| Usually the POST on Cisco's equipment is pretty good. If you don't see any problems with it upon booting, it's probably OK.
I would just do some configuration and see if it operates normally. |
