I'm doing my CCNA exam in 2 weeks & wanted the study guide. Problem is that the study guide here is for 640-507 but that's been retired since march. where can i get a goos study guide for 640-607?

I don't think you should worry too much about whether you have a 507 or a 607 study guide.

The difference between the 507 and the 607 exam is that the latter has a router simulation component.

Incidentally for my exam I used the 507 study guide from Sybex (Todd Lammle), but took the 607 test.

I strongly suggest you get some time on a router for the IOS work. This could be either rented lab time, purchase a router or two, or simulator such as boson simulator

Thanks for the advice, psimon. I was debating on what book to get, but I guess I'll get one of the dirt cheap -507 books. Then get some simulation time.

I believe it would be hard, if not impossible to pass without some practice on a router.

It does not have to be a real router. I used a simulator and it covered everything I needed to know- but I feel that I would not have passed without that experience.

Going through a study guide in two weeks? Heck, I've been pouring through the latest Sybex for over a month now and still not through. Then I plan on reading it again. Next, two reads through the ICND book I got in the class I took. Let us know how you did on the exam. Good luck.
