I just recently passed Network+ with a 92% and ready to study for CCNA.

I just realized that 'CCNA for Dummies' is a ver 1.0.

I guess that is not good enough, right?

Is ver 2.0 out already?

Please inform me since I don't know where to start.

Thanks

The test you gotta take now is CCNA 2.0 640-507 (it used to be 640-407). That book still has a lot of good info in it, but you will probably need something else. I used the Sybex book and it covered everything. A lot of other people recommend the CiscoPress books, as well.

I've always used Sybex...It is a great book. I guess I'm going back to Barnes & Noble and get the CCNA by Sybex.

What do I need to watch out for on the test? What do I need to focus more than others?

Thanks.

I hate to say this, but it's true. The whole book is covered equally. Also, don't skip Appendix B. Consider it another chapter because it holds the same weight as the other chapters. If you don't have access to routers or plan to take a class, you might want to get the "kit" with has the book and the E-Trainer. The E-Trainer is sort of crappy, but just as far as CCNA goes it is adequate. Before you go take the test you should be able to answer all the exams on the CD that comes with the book, and not miss one. That's about 15 tests.
