| I am planning to study for my CCNA. Should I attend a training school or I can study on my own. If I can do it on my own, please tell me what books you would recommend to pass the exam I would really appreciated it.

| As far as taking the course, it really depends on how much hands-on experience you have with routers and switches. You will need some book to study from. The Sybex book I had was excellent. Other people on this forum often recommend the Ciscopress book as well. If you take a course, it usually comes with a book. It also helps a lot to have some sort of routersim if you don't have access to a router. | |

| Trouble Man is right, you can pass this test without any experience if you study hard enough. If you have the money to spend on an actual course, then I would do that because you will get valuble hands on experience with the routers. If not, buy the e-lab trainer from sybex and the Sybex study guide. Plus get the Exam Essentials 5.5 from www.examessentials.com. This really helped me for my exam, and I scored a 967! Good luck and let us know how you do. | |
