Indori, if you rephrase your questions, some of us might be able to answer. However, please remember that for those of us that have taken the exam, we cannot give you examples as to the types of questions on it.

YES!! YES!! YES!!!

DO NOT SKIP APPENDIX B!!!!

There are several test questions on the CCNA exam about switches. You need to damn near memorize the chapter. Mostly it is 1900's but there are a few facts on the 5000 series as well, such as the 5000 series only have store-and-forward (that's it-no cut-through, no fragment-free), and how many ports they have. Know the difference in the CLI's between routers and switches. Know that the three ways to configure a switch are VSM, CLI, and Menu. Basically, consider it Chapter 11, because it holds just as much weight as any other chapter in the book.

You should know this appendix, however, I didn't get 1 question from it...go figure. There are different exams out there. My advice though...know it! know it all!!!...you never know

I got about 5 questions on it. Good thing I had hands-on and studied that section. Also, I've seen 2 or 3 people who have failed because they didn't study it, because they thought that it wasn't covered, and then get killed on it in the exam.
