hi ppl,
can someone tell me, why we create some subinterfaces on Bri0/0 like bri0/0.1, bri0/0.2 and so on. For an ISL Router it s suitable to create subinterfaces, cuz of Frame Tagging, but why for bri ??
Thanks for ur help.

Cheers

Probably you are talking about the 2 B channel BRI0/0:1 BRI0/0:2. Are you sure they are talking about sub-interface because their syntax are so similar?

Yep,

BRI = two 64Kilobit B channels and one 16Kilobit D channel for signaling. (2+1)

PRI = twenty three 64Kilobit B channels and one 64Kilobit D channel signaling. (23+1)

Analog Kid,

It was a typo, thanks for letting me know, and I edited my message.
