| rjohn,
Why are you starting a new thread on this? Whats wrong with the old one
Anyway, am I correct in assuming that
boot flash:your_image works and that it takes you into IOS?
If so, once you're back in IOS, try setting boot system flash:your_image
This should set the boot environment variable so you don't have to manually boot it every time.
If you want to skip the config.text (I.E for password recovery) you can simply rename config.text to config.kaka from boot mode and then reboot and enter privileged mode to change the pass. After that you can rename the config.kaka back to config.text and copy run start
Details are, as always, available at cisco.com (search for password recovery 2900xl) That way you don't have to mess with the confreg settings |
