hi ppl,
i wanted to crack the password for 2600 Router 12,0 Version.

As it written in document i done that so
After i gave the command in ROMMON Mode

confreg ....... cant remember the config-register code, which means to boot the router from flash

and reset it

but the router hangs up when it has to load the IOS Image without any error.

Normally it should has to come up. Its find the IOS and then hangs up.

Need help
Thanks for yur replys in advance

Could you give us the exact register you set it for?

Try entering rommon again and set confreg 0x2102 and see what happens

i tried but its not working with confreg 0x2102

i used frst 0x2142 which means to boot the flash image compress it in RAM but dont use the NVRAM config file.

So normally it should comes up with Setup Mode, cuz its not using startup-config from NVRAM

but its hang and doesnt load anything
and when i use the command "boot" manually then its load but its use Startup-config from NVRAM so cant crack the password

To me it looks like many folks here are new to Cisco products. This is one of the reasons this forum exists: to help these folks get answers to their questions.

It also looks like there's some suspicion in the air (due to the recent turbulence, of course...) Let's try to relax and worry about what brings (almost) all of us here: the darn Cisco things.

Cheers!

Cisco? What's that? I heard this was a good woodworking discussion board, I know what routers and switches are - but what are these "consoles" and "telnets?"

Alright maybe I'm taking my little joke too far hehehe. Everybody's here to learn, I guess I'm just curious what's fishy about that?

(Had a few dews too many today...)
