Techmindworks vs Exam Essentials

For quite a while I kept hearing how Techmindworks was much better than all the rest of the practice tests put together. Now I'm hearing how great Exam Essentials is.
I tried Techmindworks for a while and also have Exam Essentials. I found both were good.
Even though this has been brought up before, is there now a change in how people think of the two? I personally like Exam Essentials better because you don't have to log on to a web site to access it. You can just load it on a PC and not worry about a connection to the web.
Any comments?
Tks

| now why has this discussion come up again?
let us concentrate on learning and reading tech stuff here insteading of trying to ascertain which tests are better...please !!!
we all know by now that many people have diff tastes and interests ..why give them a chance to splash you with some "unofficial" adverts?

| to all test makers:
contact well known members of examnotes
send them a gift check (large amount)
ask them to talk good about your product.

after all if lobbying is allowed officially in the govt circles why not here?
at least in this way some stupid and "thought to be hidden" adverts will not waste peoples time.

| Calm down, mongol... It's not the end of the world here. Although some companies have been unscrupulous enough to post shameless, thinly-veiled ads in this forum of late, I'm sure that's not the case here.
A face-off between Exam Essentials and Techmindworks? Here's my take:
Exam Essentials 5.5:
640-507 CCNA 2.0 (6th Release)
293 Questions
$79.95 (Standard Registration)
$59.96 (Express Automated Registration)
(Source: http://www.examessentials.com/products.htm )
EE55's claim to fame is testimonials from frenzied masses claiming that 25%-80% of "their questions were almost identical" to the actual exam. http://www.examessentials.com/comments.htm
Techmindworks.com
CCNA Studio for Exam 640-507
320 Questions
$25 - 2 Weeks
$35 - 4 Weeks
$45 - 6 Weeks
(Source: http://www.techmindworks.com/ )
Techmindworks's claim to fame is an original set of challenging questions, an intelligent drill engine that adapts to your skill level as you learn, and testimonials from customers delighted with their great customer service. http://www.examnotes.net/forums/sho...p?threadid=9433
My vote: Techmindworks.
My reasons:
1) They don't claim to have actual questions from actual exams. If I want a braindump, I'll find several for free with a simple Internet search, thank you very much. Their material actually took some brainpower to produce and makes you think and do some research on your own.
2) Their prices are reasonable and flexible.
3) Their online access doesn't tie me down to one PC. No huge download to install, or fumbling with license disks to switch PCs.
4) They are very down-to-earth and give friendly service when you need assistance.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers,

| Thanks Skip;
I have to admit that I was a little put off by Mongol's response. I don't know how he could interpret my question as an advertisement. Oh well, I have round shoulders...
I appreciate your response, and I guess it really just boils down to your own personal preference on what works best for you.
Anyways, 8 days left of studying before I write. In some of the modules, I'm getting high 90's and a couple of them, I'm not doing as well and am getting in the mid to high 80's. I want to get as good as I can. Don't think (and hope) that I'll have too much of a problem. I'll soon find out anyways.
Tks

the reply wasnt directed at you in any way. it was a generic reply to a situation being exploited by test makers.
so pls accept my sincere apologies on that account.

Hi Mongol;
More than accepted. I was just trying to get a feel for if the mood had shifted from Techmindworks to EE and why.
No harm done. Like I said, I have round shoulders.

| Oh yes!! It's so comforting to see that reasonable people can resolve potential issues without resorting to insults.
(I guess this disqualifies me as a reasonable person! He he he...) | |
