Just wanted to say hi and that i'm watching THIS forum now.....time to start that long journey to CCIE! Woohoo...

Which is the best book to start out with on my new venture? Any suggestions?

Well I'm using (and have seen recommended a lot on this site) the CCNA Study Guide by Todd Lammle. It's a Sybex press book and I really like it so far! ISBN# 0-7821-2647-2 it's about fifty dollars but well worth it. I have also heard about a complete training kit that goes along w/this book. It's a bit more pricey but it comes with a router sim so you may want to go that road. I'm sure someone on this forum can give you more specifics on that one!
