| Does any one know how to use Nestsat to display duplicate IP address. I read about it when I study for TCP/IP but I forgot. | |
|
| Hi Jane55,
Type netstat ? from a DOS prompt (assuming you're running Windows) and it will display all the options for Netstat.
HTH. | |

| I think it NBTstat with a switch that can be used to identified a duplicate IP.
I went to the prompt but not how to use it resolve my problem | |
|
| NBTstat will give you the details of the remote machine, however this will not work with a machine that has a duplicate ip address as the host computer will not be able to connect to that computer. Two computers on the same subnet can not initialise with the same ip address. Secondly any attempt to connect with its own ip address will not establish a network connection - only a local connection with the computer.
I hope this helps
