what to manage ?
the user ?
the traffic ? howcome?
give me example

what about 3com office connect
manageable or unmanageable ?

A managed hub can be assigned an IP address (so you can ping it and make sure it's up) and use SNMP for network management purposes. I don't know whether that particular hub has those features or not.

Hmmm...more good info from dc!

Also, I seem to remember that you can disable unused ports on a certain hubs. This would prevent someone from simply plugging in and having access to the segment.

if we give this hub an IP address
can we use it on TCP/IP network
i mean should we config the PC to recognize this hub...
