Author Webmaster - Question about new forum format

Hi;

I tried to change the time offset option under the edit options from GMT to my time zone (Eastern US & Canada), but the time stamps are showing my times zone - 5 hours instead of GMT - 5 hours. Is there a problem with the time stamp or am I doing something wrong?

Tks

Jerry,

I had the same problem. Put your time back to GMT, and it will be OK.

There are a few threads going on about the new format in the General Discussions forum. You may want to take a look at them.

Cheers!

I will address the time problem in General discussions soon.

Basically I am trying to figure this out myself. I may have to reset the time on the server just to make it easier for members to set the time accordign to what time zones they live in.

I just posted the time zone fix in General discussions. Make sure to read it.

Yo y'all

I fitted some new disc brake pads to my car today - took me 4 hours of GMT! Which made me think, hey didn't those powers that be change the time standard. I think that GMT - Greenwich Mean Time - is now called UTC - Universal Time Coordinate, still measured and originated from the Greenwich time meridian. I am sure I have seen it as an option when setting the clock on Cisco routers and Cat switches. I can't wait for BST, or British Summer Time, which is UTC + 1 hour.

Hippo (The real ale in my local pub was GOOD today!)
