| How important are the topics of IPX routing and the 1900 Switch? Especially the 1900 switch since Todd Lammle's book dedicates an entire Appendix chapter to it. Any input would be great.
Thanks

| in the ipx chapter you need to know your cisco key words for the diffent types of ethernet encapsulation,
Ipx addressing, (a must)
the diffrence between ip rip and ipx rip
the simlarities between ip and ipx routed protocols
the similarities between spx and tcp
dont worry about saps and gns
with regards to your question about appendix b of lammel book, if you don't want to read it , thats ok because you aren't getting any questions from there , but you will get a lot of question about swithes and bridges, collisions and broadcast.
but generally speaking the appendix b is a good read , so my advice would be to read it as when you go for interviews they might ask you if you have configured vlans. | |

| I was hoping that would be the case. I was so excited when I got to Chapter 10, but then saw the Appendix B with so much info. I think I will read it anyway.
Thanks again
