In regards to a 7500 router, how are slots, ports and VIP cards denoted? In question is if I see, e2/2/1, what does this tell me in regards to slots and VIP card locations? I'd appreciate you guys help with this ????.

interface type slot/port adaptor/port number

7500(config)#Interface E2/0/0

that's a good ccna exam question.

Yes and numbers start from zero. E2 means 3.ethernet port.
