Hello,
I am currently thinking of preparing for the CCNA. I have studied off and on since January (when I took a theory-oriented Networking course and picked up Todd Lammle Sybex book to understand the material better). However, although I have studied bits and pieces here and there and read parts of Lammle's book, Syngress CCNA book, and CCNA Dummies Book, I could never find the time (due to grad school in theory-oriented only Information Science degree) to fully prepare for the exam. I have recently obtained the Sybex e-trainer and Keystone and Learn Key cbts. How long do you think it would take someone (in days, how many hours per days) to prepare for the exam? I know this is a general questions and it depends on the person but I am sure there are several people reading the forum with a similar background that need some kind of reference of the time it takes to study. I have my A+, Network+ and MCP (W2K). Thanks in Advance.

Well,,,you are right on the money! Only you know that answere, and only you know how well you retain info when you study.

It all depends on how bad you want this, you will find a way. Syngress is really good, I used all the books you have listed and more,,,about 3-other books, a few sims and 2-3 study guides, you see I wanted to be one of those who passed the first time. I hear the test is actually harder the 2cnd time around and that scared me into studying harder, it worked and I passed, so can you!

I wish you luck, and hope you find your way.
