Does anyone know if the Windows calculator is available during the CCNA test? Specifically, the scientific calc.

Thanks!

No, you are not able to use the calculator on the test. I found that it wasn't really needed but you should be able to do some basic binary/dotted conversion and paper and be able to subnet.

You are lucky because you didnt stop by to offer anything but a unwitty comment, and we could all do without those unwitty comments.

I always take the time at the beginning of every exam to just jot down the things I've memorized so that when you hit the "start exam" button I can just use my brain for the more difficult questions....subnet chart is always one of the things I write down....

I have had the option of being able to take a calculator into every Cisco test I have ever taken. They typically don't help though, unless you need to convert binary to decimal and back and forth quickly.

They sometimes ask to clear the memory first, but no one has ever said no. I have taken about 12 Certification tests and have always been able to use a calculator if I wanted.

Maybe it is location specific?
Maybe SylvanPrometric has unclear rules regarding calculators?
Maybe the testing centers don't care?

Just my thoughts...
