|
|
|
| OSI (This was taken from the CiscoPress Exam Guide, OSI answer section, p 710)
"All People Seem To Need Data Processing"
All - Application
People - Presentation
Seem - Session
To - Transport
Need - Network
Data - Data Link
Processing - Physical
------
IEEE Ethernet 802.3 (I made this up )
"Pretty Darn Silly Little Disk Store Contains Data Frames" (Not using SNAP)
"Pretty Darn Silly Little Disk Store Contains Some Data Frames" (Using SNAP)
Pretty - Preamble
Darn - Destination Address
Silly - Source Address
Little - Length
Disk - DSAP
Store - SSAP
Contains - Control (Ctrl)
(Some - SNAP)
Data - Data
Frames - Frame Check Sequence (FCS)
I find it helpful to also write out the number of bytes for each field after I've done the matching.
Hope this helps someone,
Deets
