Author scoring system of ccna 2.0

2000-09-23, 4:23 pm

I read a message in other forum, the content is as follows:

******************************
***************
The scoring of the exam is a little strange. The pass mark is 822 but the scoring is based on a score of 300-1000! There are 65 questions.

I can tell from the scores in the individual sections how many wrong answers I got. From this it appears the scoring is calculated as :-

= (correct_answers/65*700)+300

Therefore to pass you need to get 49 out of 65 questions correct.

The exam is split up into 8 areas:-

Bridging/Switching
OSI Reference Model & Layered Communication
Network Protocols
Routing
WAN Protocols
Network Management
LAN Design
Cisco Basics, IOS & Network Basics
******************************
*************

So any of you who haven't take the exam yet may be a little bit relief that the passing percentage is in fact same as CCNA 1.0 (i.e around 75%)

Good luck to you all
