Author Passed 881

Just wanted to drop a note to this forum as I will move on for now. I passed the CCNA 2.0 today with an 881. To me the exam was both easier and harder than I expected. First the easier part, the questions were far less in-depth than I thought they would be. For instance the access-lists, subnetting, and command questions were fairly basic. Now the hard part to me was not so much the wording of the questions but the wording of multiple choice answers were hard to figure out what they were exactly meaning. I also found myself feeling that none of the options given were correct about five times. I think this is done to really make you think because you have to really look at the questions and answers before making a decision. I did more eliminating answers than seeing one that just sticks out at you. But fear not there are defiantly some easy questions and some that look easy at first glance. I felt comfortable going in but not rock solid. I relaxed through the test and had plenty of time to think about each question. But when it came to the end I was a little nervous to see the result.
I prepared for the test for a few months about the last three weeks or so I really poured it on. I read sybex 407 and 507 (reread many chapters in 507) Read exam cram for 507(Reread several chapters) used the Sybex router simulator went through the exercises once did not do access list exercise. Boson 3.2 all three packages and 2 weeks of TechMindworks, the practice test were invaluable I used Boson to gauge my progress and help expose areas that I was weak in. I used TechMindworks for much the same purpose but the questions were a little more challenging some of there stuff I think goes beyond the scope of the CCNA.
Finally I think the reason I was able to pass the exam is because I really studied the material to the point that I could think through the answers because as we all know in the real world there are many factors involved in making the right decision or troubleshooting a problem. So my hats off to Cisco for designing a test that makes you think and forces you to learn your fundamentals.
Thank You All !!!
Dan
