Author Subnet Calculator:double checking your math!

Here is a helpful tool that I found that might help anyone out with subnetting. I had a hard time with some of the examples in Todd Lammle's book (it turns out there are some typo's, which no wonder I got a different calculation than what was in the example!). I wanted to make sure that I was doing things correctly and wanted to double check to see if I figured out my ISP's range correctly, so I did a search and found the following subnet calculator:
www.net3group.com

(It looks like they have some other cool stuff as well)

This thing will easily and quickly do a table like what Lammle does, and if you want to find where your ISP's IP address lies in the grand scheme of things, this will quickly identify it for you! It has helped me with some of my own practice IP and subnet addresses, to make sure that I am on the right track. Of course you can't take this thing with you when you take your test (not sure if they actually do have any subnetting questions on the exam or not,but I want to be prepared) but having the peace of mind that you are doing things right helps! PS: Of course you should use this tool only to check your paper and pencil work because I still think that is the best way to learn this stuff!
