Need some guidance.....

| Hey everyone. I am an MCSE with a few years of system admin experience and support, but very little cisco exposure. I really want to become a CCNA soon and take my career into that direction. What would be the best books/training for someone like me? Thanks... | |

| The books that most everyone suggests are going to be the Todd Lammle book by Sybex or the ICND book by Cisco Press. There are a couple of router simulation programs out that would be of benefit as well. RouterSim 2.0 can be purchased from www.routersim.com. This was co-created by todd Lammle. There is also the e-trainer that you can buy. Lammle co-wrote this as well, but this one only has three routers and one 1900 switch. Boson Tech also has a good router sim program. The exam has a focus on the OSI model. Know this cold. VLAN's and switching are the other major area of concern. I would also suggest finding a study group in your area to work with. I used one while studying for the exam, and now I am facilitating another group. Nothing like having a shared knowledge at your disposal.
Good luck. Study hard. Pass the test!
