looking for moderator

| Well, we got to the point that we have over 30 posts a day on this CCNA forum.
I think it would be a good idea to have a moderator. Any takers?
What what do moderators do? Simply monitor new posts, make sure that questions don't go unanswered, and make sure that posts that contain illigal software trade offers are promptly deleted and violators are warned.
Moderators can also close topics when topics get too long and stop being productive.
If you want to moderate this forum, just say I.

| I nominate Yankee for the job!

| I second that motion.
If, however, Yankee should choose to decline this involuntary nomination, then I would be glad to volunteer my own services.

| I think Yankee would make a good moderator.
Thanks TheSkipper for volunteering.
I will wait a bit more before I decide.
My main concern is that once moderator is chosen, he will not abuse his powers to delete post and close threads.
Only posts that contain illigal software trade offers should be deleted or edited to post a warning.
Posts that contain offensive language should be replied to with a warning to ban the offender and then the thread should be closed.

| Webmaster,
I agree.
I can assure you that if I were to moderate this group any such administrative rights conferred with the assignment would be used judiciously, responsibly and sparingly.
My main goal would be to keep this forum a positive place to learn and share knowledge. I would of course respect and adhere to any and all administrative guidelines set by this site.

| Hey Yankee, finally you might have a way to get rid of the braindump postings
Webmaster, I'd be glad to help out as well, following the guidelines of course. I assume you would also want dumps taken off.

| Ok Yankee, thank you for the offer.
I will make you the moderator of this forum starting from tomorrow.
TheSkipper, I will consider making you the moderator too. A forum can have more that one moderator and I think it is better to have more than one to cover this high traffic forum.
If I don't check in for 3 days, I find over 100-150 new posts. Yes, we now have up to 50 new posts a day in CCNA forum alone and around 200 daily posts in all our forums.

| Congratulations to Yankee and TheSkipster
I'll sleep better at night knowing that you two are "patroling" the forum and helping to insure that the forum continues to move forward with new members in a professional manner.
I'm really pleased for each of you - we all want a productive forum!
Good luck and I'm back to the books, notes, routers....
Way to go WebMaster too!

| I have made TheSkipster our second moderator.
A busy forum like this one can benefit from 2 moderators.
Our goal is to make this forum a productive discussion about CCNA exams and help each other pass it.
We want to stay clear of braindumps and of pirated software.
