Disorder,

You need to know Cisco Catalyst 1900 series switch configuration. Pick up a copy of Wendell Odom's Cisco Press book or the new Sybex Lammle book.

When you've read the certification guides, strengthen your knowledge with CCNA Studio for Exam 640-507 at www.techmindworks.com. Sign up for the evaluation, it's free. But if you want to learn the Catalyst 1900 configuration inside and out, subscribe to the full version. I did and it was the best $15 I've ever spent.

BTW... Why are you going for the 507 if you already took your 407? Either one is good as a prerequisite for CCNP 2.0... Just a thought.

Hope this helps,

You do not need the new one the 407 is fine.

Satisfy your curiosity by going to www.cisco.com and then navigating to certifications and you can read all about it and also compare the objectives.

I encourage everyone to visit the cisco site as it has a wealth of info.

Good point CC!

Cisco has been slow to post the objectives for the CCNP2.0 exams but I think they are mostly there now, albeit in very vague and general terms compared to the older ones which were quite explicit.

Too many people do not spend enough (or any) time researching the answers themselves. We're all probably a little guilty of this from time to time, but there is great benefit to be gained from figuring it out yourself.
