| I want to write my CCNA 1.0 (407) exam. Will i have to take the CCNA 2.0 to be a CCNP 2.0. Does the CCNA have to be recertified to stay current? That is the question.

| The answer is NO at present. But Cisco has
implied that they may change this in the
future.

| So would it be better off to take CCNA 2.0? What is the difference between 1.0 and 2.0?

| At this point you would be better off going for 2.0, unless you've already spent a good deal of time preparing for the 1.0. The main difference is that the 2.0 is more up to date. The 2.0 recently went live and the 1.0 will be offered through July 31.
