| I just passed CCNA, and planning on continuing CCNP. I haven't decided on which exam to do first. I believe I need to take four more exams.
Can anyone give me an advise on which exam I should do first?
Thanks in advance.

| I'm wondering the same thing and am preparing for the CCDA as I wait for the 2.0 exams and books to come out. Although I'm not sure yet, I'll probably go in this order: Switching, Routing, Remote Access, Support.

| Which one is harder, CCNA or CCDA? | |
|
| Matt has the right idea!! Switching first, it has little to do with any other exams for CCNP. Then Routing next, this is the Hardest of all 4 exams, you have about 20% "word for word" answers.
Example: Enter the command what will show you the State of your router running OSPF.
Ans: show ip ospf interface
Next take Remote Access. There are no "word for word" questions and allot is redundant of the ACRC ISDN section. You will have allot of mulyiple choice command questions.
Last, Troubleshooting, this is also a difficult one. I found that you have to really know the theory behind all aspects since none of the study material looks like the exam. There are about 10-12% "word for word" questions and a whole lot of Show and Debug commands. I got nailed on Switching and ISDN but, you may get Routing and ISN or some other comonation. Once you get over the ACRC hump, you'll do fine - good luck.
CCDA is definately harder than the CCNA exam. It's all case studies, and several questions pertaining to each study. Make sure you know what equipment goes where and also know the Hierchial Model: Access, Distribution, and Core. I barely got throught that one.. fhwew!!

| To CiscoKid:
Thanks for your advice.
Would you pls tell me which book(s) should I use to prepare CCDA?
Thanks. | |
|
| I think the best books are the ones by CiscoPress. They seem to cover topics in better detail and also get right to the points that you'll be tested on. For practice tests, use Boson. www.boson.com
These tests are very similar to the actual exam and they're only $25.95
