Where to concentrate resources for studying?
|

|
| Hey,
I'm going to start studying for the CCNA soon. I have several books, e-trainer, etc. What I'd like to know is what areas do you guys think would be most helpful for additional, intensive study? I'm going to go through all the sections, but are there any places in particular that you'd recommend for extra attention? (I.e. concepts that are especially difficult, are heavily tested, or tend to be heavily used in real life?)
Any hints that could make life easier, and study more effective, would be greatly appreciated!

| Hi Crescent,
In my opinion, the CCNA lays the foundation for many networking subjects.
There is so much to learn just for the CCNA, it might be a good idea not to go off on hardcore, in-depth tangents.
IMO, the areas which people are most likely to misunderstand is subnetting and Access Control Lists (ACL's).
From what I read on this forum, and people I know personally, they all say that you will definitely see multiple subnetting and OSI reference model questions on the CCNA.
As for hints, be like me and post shamelessly. If I'm foggy on an idea or concept, I'll post it regardless of how stupid I may look! Also, use as many resources as possible.
Hope this helps a little!
