| Bummper Skipper,
Anyway, I wanted to send you a note asking if you know of any openings where you work or where any of your friends work. As you can see from my reply to Deets, I got a nasty Christmas present Tuesday.

| Sorry to hear about that Tom!
Can you send me your resume or a description of the type of experience you have and the kinds of technology you've worked with? I'll see what I can do to help.

| I've gotten where I am today only through the help of others. Because of this, I do my best to do the same to fellow techies in need.
Solidarity!!

| Mongol,
e-mail me.
Just because they did me wrong is no reason for me to drop to their level.

| Hey Tom;
I'm not in a position to offer any physical help, but I'm wishing you the best of luck.

| That sux big time, Tom. Fancy giving you notice around Christmas time! Gee, there are some truly harsh people in this world...
Sorry I can't offer you anything in the way of job opps, Tom, but I hope things work out for you. Who knows, maybe it was meant to happen for a reason.
All the best, mate,

| If you are willing to leave Va. I can point you in several directions. A few may even pay all or a portion of your relocation. | |

| trimix_dvr,
Thanks for the thought, but I'd rather not leave the Washington, D.C. area. First I have custody of my son, and leaving the area could be a MAJOR problem (I've fought VERY VERY VERY hard to get him away from his abusive and mentally ill mother- now if we could only get her help). I like my home (it's finally feeling like home), and while the thought of a warm place like Florida excites me (I hate winter, and we're suppose to get a big snow storm tonight/tomorrow), all of the high tech companies here make it a great place to live. Yea, I hate the cold we're having, and I'm not thrilled with the fast growth (killing to many trees, and too much traffic), but it's home (I grew up here).

| I spent my childhood in Va. and my teenage years in Fl. so I can understand the love of the area, it's hard to find a more scenic place to be.
Good luck...you'll find something fast...many comapnies wait till jan. to post new jobs anyway.

| Tom,
Go to Hotjobs.com and look in Fairfax... there are 322 jobs right now. The top one is a provisioning specialist.... if you have WAN knowledge then you should be able to order and design circuits... I am not sure what kind of provisioning it is, but most likely, frame or internet, or something like that. also check out Booz Allen Hamilton, BAH.com, and SAIC... I think that those might be some decent leads.... I hope this helps, and I know that it really sucks for stuff like that to happen especially at this time of year. good luck!

| rlrouns,
Thanks, I've already checked them out. I'm sending resumes as fast as my fingers can type (about 50+ WPM, sometimes 90+) I actually have a bunch of friends at SAIC who are working their butts off for me.
