| Hi,
Can someone please tell me what parts to focus on for the exam. Like which parts are crucial to pass, thanks in advance.

| I am taking the test soon, but from reading this forum, you hear different answers like,
"I only had x nr of IOS questions", then the next day you will hear, "Oh my god, there were 50 million IOS questions!!", the same with alot of other subjects.... like Frame Relay, etc.... that tells me that you just have to know all the objectives really well.... I am sure some of the veterans could give some better input!

| Simply put...you need to know everything that is listed on the exam objectives Cisco has listed on their website. Depending on what book you read you will find that you may be studying very hard on specific topics that will not covered on the exam, so while it is important to have a through understanding...don't kill yourself with the arcane details of DECnet.
My opinion....you will need to know the OSI model intimately, as well as TCP/IP, and switching. Don't let well known port numbers trip you up when it comes to ACL's!!For as long as i've been reading this forum, most of us (myself included) have had a fear of subnetting. You are only allowed to miss 11 questions, if you can take the pressure off of yourself by knowing subnetting inside and out, you'll be well off. I postponed my test a week, and focused on subnetting for an hour a day and general review for an hour a day...and it paid off. I was still nervous, but I was confident, border line cocky. If you convince yourself you're gonna fail, you will...even if you have to fake it...be confident untill you begin to believe it.
Most importantly relax...be positive and feel confident, you'll do fine! |
