Can any one tell about sofware which can make my pc as to behave like a router.Tell me free software &share ware as well.Give links of site that can help me in preparing for ccna.

Linux can do routing. Linux is free. If you are running NT Server or W2K server you can also use it as a router.

For your CCNA studies, start at www.cisco.com. Get yourself a router or three.

My personal favorite because it comes with a stateful firewall and NAT capabilites in the default install is OpenBSD. In most linux distributions you'll have to recompile the kernel to support this, though there are distributions meant to act specifically as a router. Also, ipchains isn't really stateful so you have to go outside the main code branch to get a stateful firewall.

WIN98 SE has a bundled in sharing program.. called ICS (internet connection sharing).. I had that running to route service to my Mac before I got Cable
