| I just passed this turkey on the third try. I used the Sybex book and Virtual Lab (not complete but very good), the Syngress/Osborne book (mostly good except for a few chapters, their books written by committee), the Exam Cram practice tests (waste of time and money, in-complete coverage), dump sites (useless waste of time), CISCO documentation web site (pretty good but too many places to hunt information), and of course I read the examnotes forum (very good). I passed by following the advice, know everything. I've take A+, N+, and 8 Microsoft tests and passed on the first try. CCNA was like a brick wall. I think they torture small animals in their spare time! Take nothing for granted and know your study by heart and practice with a router or simulator.
For example I saw these: a small home business has heavy data transfers. Keep costs in mind what should be used (Osborne book)
-T1
-ISDN
-Frame Relay
-56k
OR
For ISDN which spec is used for multiple modems
NAS (found in Osborne book)
OR
What does the BASE in 10BASET mean(Examnotes.com)
-spectrum
-signaling
OR
ROM address (Sybex book)
OR something like
network 111.222.333.4444 111.222.17.24
As Spock (of Star Trek) would become one with with your study guide or at least read it twice.

| For ISDN which spec is used for multiple modems NAS ?
can u please explore about NAS i donot have the book mentioned here
|
| NAS - CISCO Network Access Server ... equates to one cable for every 23 modems. ...NAS provides V.90 56Kbps analog modem access... P.531 Osborne Study guide
Hope this is usefull | |

| To me the answer is E none of the above. The keywords are "heavy data tranfer" What is the cost of each speed?
T1 - 1.44Mbps Is the cost of a T1 still around $1200/month.
ISDN - Still considered too expensive. A BRI interface would only give you 128Kbps both ways. Is a PRI less expencive than a T1? Don't know.
Frame Relay - Depends on the plan you buy. Higher rates download/upload cost more.
56K - Not a choice. | |
