| I decided yesterday to take today off studying (I got bored this evening, so I thought I'd drop by here). I had a very strange dream last night which confirmed I should take today off. The dream was as follows (just a note, I haven't taken the test yet):
In the dream I went to take the test. The test was being conducted in the back yard of this house belonging to an oldish fellow, and there was someone else there. They had these sort of picnic benches set up...the test was kind of like a job interview, with the old guy and the other guy (who was wearing a black suit), firing questions at me. Most of their questions were easy, but a few had me stumped. I was sure I had cruised the test, particularly when they asked me the last question, which was to describe in full detail the whole power-on process of a router. I expressed every piece of the process clearly and succinctly. I was therefore surprised when the old fellow says, "Well, from what we have heard, we'll give you a bare pass, and nothing more. I was troubled with your knowledge of access lists." (I think it was access lists). "Anyhow," he continues, "now is the time for you to take the WRITTEN test." I was SHOCKED. After all the gruelling interrogating they had put me through, I still had to take the written test!!!! The dream faded from there...
Weird stuff,

P.S. I think I'll pay particular attention to access lists in prep for the exam. Also make sure I have the power on stuff rock solid (which I think I do) | |

Take my advice.. It's time to head to the nearest pub for a pint or 2 and relax a bit - socialize - flirt with some women.
Too much of the brainburn and you'll start forgetting what you've learned and that's not good. | |

I can understand if your dream would leave you a bit shaken, but I couldn't help but laugh at the entire scenario.
Let's not give our friends at Cisco any ideas, though...

| Hi guys. I thought the dream was actually quite humorous. I think it's a good sign: shows I know my stuff.
Actually, on Wednesday I went out and had a number of bourbons...didn't pick up, though. Darn!

| This may sound silly, but I am going to throw it out there just because Deets decided to reveal his dream: TAKE THE TEST!!! Jeez Deets, you are soooooo ready. I visit the forum every day and see your questions and comments, and every day I hope that you will have posted a new topic that exclaims how you passed with a 1000. You are a Cisco animal, and you need to take the test so that you can join the ranks! you are ready, grasshopper. you have snatched the stone quite a while ago!

| Hehe. You're a funny guy, Danny . The only reason I am procrastinating is $$. It's a bit complicated, but I have to wait til my tax refund comes in before I take the test...
Life sux big time...I might as well study my guts off while I'm waiting...

| MadChef is another one I'd like to see as a moderator some day.
I honestly have to admit, this is one of the best crews I've seen since July. It will be sad to see you all move on when you pass your exams, but I'm sure you all will be a godsend to the CCNP forum.

| I'll still drop by to help out. I have a Web site which I will put up at some stage. I intend to put Cisco information there which will help people out. I want to put my summaries of each of the main CCNA/ ICND topics up, so that others can get a different slant on these. I used to tutor in various high school subjects, so I think (hope) these summaries may be of some benefit to others.
