| Hi
I wonder what to answer if I'm asked if the Data link layer provides errors correction and flow control. I know MAC provides errors detection but LLC2 provides errors correction and also windowing.
In the boson questions, sometimes u got question like "which of these layers provides flow control" then u have a choice between DDL and Transport. Well u got my point.

| The exam is NOT really that tricky, in spite of what you might have heard. It's purpose, I believe, is not to trick you but to make sure you know your stuff.
It's been my experience that nothing is questioned with regard to LLC2. It's still a good thing to know however.
When questioning about the OSI model they will use flow control describing both the Transport and Data Link layers, so watch for that. You just have to read the questions carefully, sometimes many times over, to understand what they're getting at. | |
