| You guys were very helpful when I asked about study guides for the i-Net+ test. Now I'm asking which primary text do you recommend? There are lots of them out there, but I only intend to buy one...and I want it to cover all areas of the test. Any advice would be appreciated. | |

| The Exam Prep is the one I recommend for the i-Net exam. Wasn't to thrilled with the All in One. It didn't read like the Mike Meyers A+ and Network +. Also I don't feel
it outlined what you needed to study enough.
Seemed like alot of grey area through the whole book to me. Went and got Exam Prep and
it was like a breath of fresh air. Good i-Net books are hard to come by. I orderd the All in One so I didn't know what was in it I just took it for granit. I really like Exam Prep. Check it out.

| I also would recommend the Sybex exam prep. If you are interested in some good practice exams, I would recommend the transcender prodect and/or the cert 21. I passed the Inet+ last month using these tools. Good luck!
By the way, I read your other post on the career changers thread. Very Inspiring!! I, too am a career changer. Thanks!

| Thanks lifelearner. I will also consider the Cybex text. I used the cert21 online practice tests for Network+ and got a lot from it.
Thanks for the other comment too. What career are you changing from?

| I used I-Net+ Study Guide, David Groth, Sybex; ISBN: 0782126375 | |

| I would recommend the Sybex
I-Net+ Study Guide as well.
I have only heard good things
about it.
I don't like any of the Mike Meyers All in One books. They are way over rated if you ask me.

| Dagger,
The only All-In-One books by Mike Meyers are the All-In-One A+ Certification Exam Guide and the All-In-One Network+ Certification exam guide.

Really? I think that Meyers is a talented author. In what regard to you think that his book is overrated?

| I would also agree with the Sybex book and also when you have completed that a good review that is kinda short (only about 300pgs of reading) is the exam cram book for I-net+
If the only thing you do with that is go into a book store sit down and do the sample questions. never hurts to do more sample questions.
