am I ready getting 85% on all practice test for CIW associate and have been in classes 4 weeks now for 8 hours a week and a little study at home. I'm taking CIW courses for foundations but Inet+ is easier for me because of more networking and I've got net+ already the trifecta of A+ Net+ and Inet+ looks good to me and I'm going to start Server+ studies again after my failed attempt. I also found out if you have Inet you can translate it to associate also figured I would do that so that I would have another cert. Are the associate test close to the Inet test??

JeremyWatts: You don't have to sweat over this test like you do for the Server+ exam. If you're scoring 85% or better, I would say you're ready to give it a shot. Since I haven't taken the CIW-A test, I wouldn't know how similar it is to the i-Net+, but they should be close.

Its kinda of funny, but I first started out with the CIW Foundations for Dummies book (Hungry Minds) and then moved on to i-Net+ Study Guide (Sybex) and i-Net+ Exam Cram (Coriolis). There are similarities, but would agree that i-Net+ focuses a bit more on networking than CIW.

Try to go the voucher route as it helps save a little bit of money. Check out www.consultisc.com for either VUE or Prometric. Good luck.

Got a free test with the class don't have to buy one. Yeah I took a class not familiar with HTML stuff and I'm going for aster design CIW. Oh and by the way the CIW and Inet material are almost identical I looked at the Sybex book for Inet and then looked at my prosoft for CIW and they had the exact material in almost every chapter even diagrams and everything.

That's cool with the included freebie test along with your class. I've been using HTML/XHTML for a looong time now which explains why the test was easy for me. Once you have the coding down, the rest of the information about the Internet in general comes easy.

This website is an excellent resource in terms of the available tutorials on a wide range of topics as well as providing quizzes to test your knowledge. The quizzes are on the right side and the tutorials are in the upper left. I use their website as part of my curriculum.

Yup, you sound ready to me. Just try to focus on the 15% where you miss and see if you can detect a trend...
