Took me about 2 weeks, but I had just finished the Net+ a month before. Get Examdrill, take Bernies free practice tests and Exam Cram should be sufficient. If you have no knowledge on the subject at all, you may wanna try Exam Prep instead. You will pass guaranteed as long as you are able to pass all the practice tests with a 90 or higher.

CIW is pretty much a webmaster.. There are different tracks to choose from though. Go to their website to check them out. I actually faxed my info from the i-Net+ and it only took them like 2 weeks to send me my cert. It's a nice little blue one. Not too snazzy, but hey, it was free..

CIW - Certified Internet Webmaster

Certification establishes and validates critical job skills for Web team members. CIW certification establishes an individual as an expert in Internet technologies. Like a professional license, the CIW designation offers structured, reliable evidence of Internet skills competency. CIW certification exams are built on rigorous and standardized criteria. Benefits of CIW certification include:

Objective validation of critical Internet skills.
For employers, a verification tool to distinguish among candidates for hiring and promotion.
For individuals, a worldwide credential attesting to their mastery of important skills.
International acceptance.
CIW is recognized as a leading industry standard by several independent Web professional associations, organizations, and corporations, and is quickly becoming the certification and education standard in the Internet industry.
The CIW program is:

Accredited by the Association of Internet Professionals (AIP)
Endorsed by the International Webmasters Association (IWA)
Incorporated into IBM's global education offerings to all external education and enterprise customers
Integrated into Intel's training and certification program
Offered at over 1,000 training locations throughout the world.

BTW, if you passed i-Net+, you can send your exam record to Prosoft and waive the CIW Foundation exam.

Not sure about books. I've only used the study guide from Brainbuzz.com . A lot of people recommended Sybex study guide (thick one).
