As part of setting up a connection between two host, a rapid exchange of messages takes place between the two. When your system sends out a packet, it is stored in a buffer so your system can remember which packet is being replied to by the other end. Also, when the system on the other end sends a reply packet, it stores a copy in its own buffers. After the reply is received, it is then removed from the buffer. The SYN (synchronize) field in each packet contains the sequence number of the packet in the series being exchanged.
Now if you were to send out a bunch of connection request and you do not reply to the reply packets coming from the other end, the packets would build up in the other ends buffers creating a SYN flood. This makes it hard for anyone else to connect.
Hope this helps!

Hello Stillme1
First of all, Thank you SO MUCH for explain and teaching me, I really appreciate your help.
well, you said if you do not reply to the reply packets coming from the other end, the packets would build up in the other ends buffers creating a SYN flood. This makes it hard for anyone else to connect. So it mean its still possible to connect right but just harder ? So is not each packet Need to be reply before making another connect right ?
Thank you Thank you Stillme1

I guess what makes it difficult is the server you are connecting to has to go through the unused sequence of packets before sending you a response. This slows the process. I'm not sure how many packets the buffers will hold before just locking up. I'm sure it would take quiet a few because several people can log on to a server at the same time and a lot of packets are flying back and forth.
