Comptia's new policy change really s*^#@ not that Inet+ made any difference in my career in the first place but, in my opinion for most cases it is only a good stepping stone to the CIW.

Would I take it again?
A: Not unless my employer required it.

Would I recommend the exam?
A: As a stepping stone to a CIW "yes". As a positive career move to advance "NO".

If anybody has a different story about what the certification did or didn't do for them I am sure there is people who would like to know.

The policy you're talking about is the retake policy for the exam.

Doesn't this only apply to someone retaking a CompTIA exam? I didn't see anything on their website about the cert expiring.

I used this link as a guideline, sorry if I was wrong.
http://www.examnotes.com/?counter=402&ind=27

And

http://www.comptia.org/certification/retake_policy.htm

First link says 12 months after a successful pass.

On th esecond it appears that maybe if you volunteer to retake it you must wait 12 months.

Just goes to show you that double checking your resource information always helps.
