| Well, I looked through the proposed new objectives and it comes closer to CIW Foundations.
The material increased emphasis on security: including encryption, firewalls (DMZ), and web server strengths. The programming now includes XML, XSL, DTD's, JSP's, etc. E-Commerce material has been increased.
There will now be 5 areas tested. Internet Basics and Clients have been combined into one category with the same weight (30%). Networking has been reduced from 25% to 20%. Security increased from 15% to 20%. The weight given to Development and Business Concepts remains unchanged.
All in all I think the changes will just keep this material current. The extra emphasis must have been influenced by the CIW Foundations exam. The new test questions will include drag and drop examples and hopefully won't include the CSS question... | |
