Author Passed !!!!!!!!!!

I passed this evening with an 84%, which is not the greatest score, but a pass is what counts. I simply couldn't take the studying anymore, I just went for it. I scored higher on the Net+ exam, but then I studied longer.

Randy, you were right about going for it soon after Net+.

Thanks everyone for your helpful postings.

Bootdata,

You are probably right. However, I'm on a serious mission, so I'm digging into Site Designer today, then E-Commerce will be next (which I've been told is the easiest).

THEN!!!! I'm going to the Spa for some serious pampering (I'm talking massage, manicure, pedicure... the whole nine).

Imran,

I know there are mixed opinions about this Cert, and I don't know that I can offer anything that would help with that decision except to say, consider the path you're on. If you feel it will help with what your career goals are go for it, if you feel strongly that there are other Certs that would be more beneficial to you, then go that route. For me, it's a natural progression. I have an offer lined up that starts next month, and I will be given the responsibility to lead many efforts as they relate to Internet and web design and many things that play a part. I am seriously thinking of Certifying with Oracle as well. But, the best part is the company will pick up the tab for whatever else I want to do in the future. I'm also thinking of going after the B.S. degree. So, we'll see.

I believe today 5/9/01 is YOUR day, so Good Luck with your exam. You Will Pass.

Thank you San...,

I will. Trying to get through the 3 books before I zoom in on those practice test to measure my readiness. I'll definitely call for help if I run into some snags.

See ya over in the CIW forum.

Well, the same advice I give to everybody applies here . . . if you ARE going to go for it, go for it as soon as possible after passing thr Net+ . . . you're practically guaranteed to crack a 70% and then with a few days extra study, you should be over the pass mark.

And girltecht . . . congratulations! What do you plan on working on next?

Hi Randy,

Thank you.

I'm currently working on the Site Designer exam, then I'm going to do the E-Commerce exam. THEN, I will be putting this knowledge to work with a snazzy site, in preparation for my new job responsibilities coming up next month. And looking into the not so distant future, I'll be tackling languages (beginning with Java 2). I'm leaning towards a development track. I really enjoy Internet related stuff, and want to heavily get into some development. I like the idea of producing funky fun stuff.

This is NOT for money, but for enjoyment with me. I'm finally embarking upon something I love doing, and to be paid well for doing it should be EVERYONE's dream. Life is too short not to have the best fun you can in work and play I always say. So, I'm pretty geeked these days.

I'd like to get into Internet design a little more as well. Right now I am learning Oracle 8i, and it's focus is data retrieval via the Internet, so that might be a start. But my real interest at the moment is networking, and internetworking, I guess I'll get there eventually. Anyway, have fun and congrats again!
