| The best book by far is Todd Lammle's CCNA Study Guide from Sybex. Lammle is the man as far as Cisco is concerned. Also see www.mcsefreak.com and look at the subnetting guide. Freak has a great way of explaining it. It's really not that hard once you understand what is going on. Let me know if there is any particulars that are giving you trouble. | |

| thanks pal(randy) i knew u would respond. anyway i do have todd l. book but i was a little more into subnetting as i know shit about it. so i just wanted a book totally for it. i till now have no problems with my router or with anything else but having a lot of problems with subnetting and how it works and everything to it.

| Well, that was the book I relied upon mostly. i will look about and see if there is anything more in-depth with regards to subnetting. Try freak's site at: http://www.mcsefreak.com/subnetting.htm as I thought it was a big help as well. | |

| gazzaboy's reference to www.learntosubnet.com
is an excellent resource. I used it and it really simplified the entire process for me. | |
|
| learntosubnet.com was a good resource, but it didn't "talk" to most of my students, which is why I made my own guide a while back... read as much as you can! |
