Remember the following key points about CGI:

-CGI runs on the server side, so it frees the developer from browser concerns.
-CGI consumes a great deal of RAM on the server; each process uses a separate memory thread.
-CGI is not a language; it's a specification. You can create CGI programs in C++, VB, Perl, and other languages.
