| Thank you Pavlov. I will have to hang around the Network+ board more often.
I'm going for i-Net+ for personal reasons. I've worked for private websites before and I'd like to prove what that taught me, along with all my other Internet/networking experience. How are you preparing for i-Net+? I have the Exam Cram & Personal Trainer, plus various other practice test programs. I hope it's not a mistake to think all I need is the Exam Cram. People around here seem to be big fans of the Sybex book...
But studying for i-Net+ has been pushed off until after I TEST FOR CCNA THIS FRIDAY
Wish me luck!

| An excellent article for those who have yet to take the exam or thinking about taking it. | |

| Hey Sh0tgun - I am also taking the i-Net+ for personal, not professional, reasons. Although, I must admit, I keep getting distracted by all the MCSE/A books I have ready and waiting to charge down the new MCSA path
I have the Sybex book and another book titled "Network+ Certification Study System"; the author is Joseph Byrne and it's published by IDG Books. I have used this series of books for the A+ and the Net+ and found them to be very well written. I chose Sybex since it was the book of choice by most folks. I also understand that the review questions at the end of each chapter in the Sybex book are quite close to the actual exam. I am also using Exam Drill since I was quite pleased with it for Net+.
I also put out the money for a set of books by Marcraft. Nobody else here has used them (my assumption since when I posted asking about this line of books I got no replies at all). They are more designed for a structured classroom with an instructor. The set came with a text and a lab book. The lab book has been quite helpful. I wouldn't recommend spending the money for this set though. Too much for what you're getting
Good luck with the CCNA Friday! | |

| Has anyone here taken the INet+ beta? Do you guys know if they roll out a whole new set of q's or is it half old half new? I'm kinda debating whether I shd back out of taking the beta and go fot the regular test ($190) after I saw the $95 transfer fee inrease with CIW.
Also, Pavlov, I have the Examprep CD with practice q's on it. Would you or anyone like to swap that with Sybex CD q's? I'm hoping that I can get this done via e-mail or uploading to one of the storage sites for someone to access today since I'm taking the beta on Thursday.
Thanks in advance!!! |
