I haven't taken an exam since March and this was one I've been putting off for a while. I used the Sybex i-Net Guide (Groth) and also Exam Drill (www.alphaexams.com), which I've used before for other exams (A+, Network+ etc).

I had around 20 questions that I have not seen before, and they were tricky. I just skipped (marked)those I couldn't answer immediately and went back to them later. (I only got 10 questions wrong according to my score sheet). If you read the questions carefully, remembering that the exam is about the Internet (not Networking), you will find the answers. Usually, you can narrow it down to two possibilities. Read the question and answers carefully and choose the answer that is most internet-related.

Hope this helps you guys

Congrats on the pass

What was the date of your Exam Drill Question pool?

Pavlov. I picked up the latest update (dated 22 November)about a week ago from the update site.

The Drill was good for most of the test, but there were enough tricky questions (20)on my exam to throw me (I actually got 9 wrong, not 10 as in my original post). I also used the Sybex book & CD, and Exam Cram. Sybex used to be considered overkill for this exam, but I don't think it is any more.

My advice to everyone: Don't just rely on one resource.

Updates for Exam Drill? I havnt seen an update site for Exam Drill anywhere. Can you tell the URL for the update site?

Would have been nice if the place gave that information when they gave the download link for the software Or atleast put the link on their page like other places.

There should be a link on the site you downloaded the Drill from. If you don't see it there, you can email Bob Reedy at bobreedy@examdrill.com. He has always been quite helpful in pointing me to the necessary links. I won't post the link here in the forum because this will allow people who have not paid for the product to go and download it for free. Plus, occassionally they switch which server the updates are on, so posting a link here may frustrate folks.

Hey prometric, great score! What do you mean by "internet-related"? (Sorry if it's a dumb question.)

Congragulations!
Did you get a lot of networking questions on your exam?
prometric

I did get some networking questions. It helps if you already have Network+, or something similar. By "internet-related" I meant that you have to choose an answer that has more to do with the internet technologies, not necessarily normal networking. You can will get questions very similar to the Network+

Hi
I'm thinking of doing this one soon. Would you recommend doing the Network+ first?

I have this one to do soon.

This exam will have new objectives soon so it is better to get this out of the way. If you are studying for the Network+ it will be a great help, but you don't have to do that exam first. If you plan to do the i-Net exam within the next two months or so you should be okay, after that it will be new. It's best to get it out of the way. Exam Drill should help you get through it quite easily.
Good Luck
