Was wondering how long everyone took to study

| I've been poking and jabbing at the Study Guide book for this one for about 4 months now. Probably not a good barometer to gauge this by. I started right after I completed the Net+, but then work ramped up and I didn't get time to stay on my plan. I'm just getting ready to focus on this one again. I hope to wrap it up before then end of the year. We'll see how work goes
How long you should study really depends upon how much experience you have in the field or how quickly you read and comprehend and pick up new things.
Although, most people agree that this is one of the easier CompTIA certifications and is most easily attained when done right on the heels of the Net+, due to the material overlap.

True, i passed CIW-A almost two months ago, tomorrow i go for the i-Net+.
I read exam notes for two weeks about i-Net+, after passing CIW-A it should be enough. But for CIW-A I read four books during three months.
So it's not easy to tell how much time you need. Better try some (online) tests and meassure your own knowledge!

| I read David groth's book (the big one) for 1.5 week whole day, (at that time just completed my degree in Melbourne, so I had all the time I wanted
and having an MIS degree defenitely helps on the exam.

| Like Pavlov, took entirely too long after passing the N+ last December. Just passed the i-Net on Monday. Studied sporadically for 4 months, hard the past 2 weeks. Relied heavily on the Exam Cram. Avoid the All-in-One i-Net+ book like the plague. Questions straightforward. Avoided the CompTIA weirdness questions, fortunately. Good luck. |
